English

I miss the English class like in high school, I always loved that class and I gave my best to have good… ok, excellent marks. So, English isn’t terrible for me.
I like this subject, but I really hate the timetable. Being in class at six in the afternoon is a punishment for me! Also, in Wednesday my classes end at noon, so wait for 6p.m it’s all an adventure.
Beyond that, I like this subject and I think that there is many aspect that I need to improve: I get really nervous when I what to talk in front of the class in English, even if I know all the words. My grammar is other thing that I need to improve, I still having small but important mistakes when I write, especially with the past tense, which is like my Aquiles’ heel.
The thing that I don’t like is blogging, I don’t like this thing of be inventing and/or thinking in what thing write and try to feet that post with the number of words. However, one time when I have an idea, write 250, 260 or 300 words is not a hard work. This time I don’t have an idea, so I’m suffering: the word count is 300 words.
Other things that I liked were the videos, they were fun, but I had no time for do they as well as I wanted. I think that this has helped me to lose a little bit of the fear of speaking English in public.
I laughed a lot with the group exercises, when we have to share a personal problem (that the teacher gave to us in a paper) and ask for some advice. I was and addicted to ketchup and one classmate was in love with a giraffe.

Me in the future

Everyone wants to have a nice work, where they can feel comfortable, where they can feel that contribute to their workplace and where they can do something that they love, something that they enjoy.
When you are growing up and especially when you are studying, one question appears:  What I’m going to do when I graduated? Sometimes, that’s a difficult question… and it was difficult for me 3 years ago. In that time, I was just begging to understand what I want to do, and then… I knew a new area of work: the corporative communications. And that’s the job I wanted for me!
This work is about carry the communications inside a company, many times the professional of this area has to make the internal/corporative magazine, crisis management, the human relationship, brand management, the relation with the mass media when the company needs it, etc. Also, in this kind of job you can have a nice schedule, like an office schedule, so, in my case, I’ll have a normal and non stressful life (yay!).
So, I wanted to learn more of this area, so until one year ago I’m doing a major in Corporative Communications.  This doesn’t mean that I’ll never be able to work in a newspaper or radio, but rather this major will enable me to work in the best way possible.
The reason that I want this kind of job is because I don’t see myself chasing news all day, working late…, in a job with no schedule, without personal life. I want to have a family, a kid, a cat and a dog, and for that I will need a job like what I mention. I want a nice office and my cup of tea every morning, pictures on my desk and stuffs like that.

Friends!

The values in a friend are many, but the most important thing is one: this person should be with us in good and bad moments. This is something that I value in a friend.
Finding friends is not too difficult for me, but find a real friend is hard. In my childhood I remember one real friend, she was my front neighbor and we used to play different things every day. When you are a child is not difficult finding someone, but she never left me alone… those where good times.
When I was older, I made more friends, but eventually we lose contact. This happened to me until I went to the university. There (well, here) I made some friends, as usually, but nowadays I have 3 closest friends. In first place, I will speak about two of them: Karina and Hernán.
This two are one of the most ridiculous persons that I know, together we laugh a lot and also we do all the works in classes together. Karina and Hernán always listen to me and I listen they too, we share our problems and help each other to cheer us and feel better. It’s very comfortable having friends like them.
My other closest friend is my boyfriend, Miguel. I met him by the internet… We started talking about games and, with the time, we starting to become closest friends. One year later, we met in real time, in person… well, then we fall in love and start a relationship and now we live happily eating partridges.
Have friends is an important thing and my life would be so much difficult without they.

Me and the environment

Since I was a kid, my family taught me that protect the environment is an important and essential
thing for being a better human being. My mother and my father always told me “never throw
trash on the ground, because that’s bad”. Maybe the first time that she taught me this, I don’t
understood why, because other times I had seen trash in parks or in the streets, but when I was a
little bit older, I finally understood: places looks horrible when they are dirty, because no one can
enjoy this places and garbage kills the plants.

I think that this is the first time when you can learn about the environment: your parents, and I will
try to pass this knowledge to my children one day.

I you ask me, how green I am? I answer you that I’m not a green person… if you are thinking
in recycling things. I don’t do this not because I don’t care, but in Rancagua, there is not much
places where you can carry your recyclable garbage. However, I always try to reduce my
carbon footprint: I share the car with other persons, I don’t use taxi because I prefer the public
transportation; I also try to turn off the TV and the lights when I’m not using it; I don’t waste
water, I walk from my home to the bus stop (like 15 minutes) every time I can; I use the bicycle to
make short trips and reuse the super market bags and try to use a cloth bag to do the shopping.

I would like to do more things to help the environment, but I think that these little things would
help a lot if more persons would make them...

Read~

I remember all the times when I was a child and my grandmother read me some books like “Papelucho”, I always liked to read, but I loved so much more when my grandmother read me, because it was like an eternal story, and also taught me the good habit of reading.
Because this fact, I think that my favorite childhood book was “Papelucho”. The fun of this book also was that my mom and I could comment the book and laugh together of the adventures of this little boy.
Recently I read many books (because of the university), but the last one I read was “The Chronicles of Narnia: the horse and his boy”. Maybe you’ll think that this book is for children, but no (in spirit I’m a child), never is late to read a good book.
I haven’t finished it yet, because I’m with no time, but I recommend it to you, because is a book based in a fantasy world, where the animals can talk and the adventure is always present.  Other reason because why I haven’t finished this book, is because I left it in my boyfriend house, with all my collection of “The Chronicles of Narnia”, but seriously, I strongly recommend this book if you like fantasy books, and remember…. You’ll never be old to read any kind of books!
